“I’m a wanderer Miss Kaoru, and it’s time to wander again …”

I’ve been to many countries thanks to my grandmother, who loves to travel, and when visiting Ensenada, Mexico, at the age of 10- I remember flipping through the channels and finding “Samurai X,” or Rorouni Kenshin. This is the first episode I saw; I was captured by the voices, the fireflies, and animation and by the emotion between Kaoru Kamiya and Kenshin Himura, and of course the beautiful background music, Cavalleria Rusticana. My first real taste of an anime that wasn’t all about “friendship” and “being Number 1,” like Pokemon and Dragonball had been to me; Samurai X changed my views on anime completely.
The wandering samurai, the tomboyish beauty, the loud-mouth student, and the fighter-for-hire- all these memorable characters will always be old friends.

I used to watch it as a kid, much youger than 10 yers old, that's for sure xD I hadn't watched since then nor I knew that the name was "Rorouni Kenshin". Recently, I accidently watched the first episode, and I found out that I still remembered the opening songs
